Nera

a river in the Yakut ASSR, a right tributary of the Indigirka River. Formed by the confluence of the Deliankir and Khudzhakh rivers, it measures 106 km long (331 km if its largest branch, the Deliankir, is included) and drains an area of 24,500 sq km. The river flows across the Nera Plateau and is fed predominantly by rain. There is high water from May through August. The mean flow rate 65 km from the mouth is 119 cu m per sec. The Nera begins to freeze in October and is completely frozen from December or January through April; the ice breaks up in May or early June. The Ust’-Nera-Magadan highway passes along the valley of the Nera.
