VILNIUS -- During the last several years, with the rise of new business quarter skyscrapers on the right bank of the Neris river, some panoramic views of the Vilnius cityscape have changed dramatically.
She was predeceased by her sister, Ernestine "Peanut" Neris.
Founded in the eleventh century as a walled fortress at the convergence of the Vilnia and Neris Rivers, the city has always been well protected from invaders.
