Neritsa

a river in the Komi ASSR, a left tributary of the Pechora. It is 203 km long and drains an area of 3,140 sq km. The Neritsa rises in the Verkhniaia Vym’ Range (Timan Ridge). It is fed chiefly by snow. The mean flow rate 52 km from the mouth is 14.5 cu m per sec. The river freezes in late October or in November and thaws in early May. Timber is floated in the lower course.
