NetCache

A family of Web cache servers from Network Appliance that come in a wide range of sizes for use in branch offices to large service providers. NetCache devices support video-on-demand and broadcast streaming and use Network Appliance's innovative Data ONTAP microkernel OS and Write Anywhere File Layout file system (WAFL). NetCache supports "split streaming," which, like multicasting, provides a one-to-many transmission enabling one video stream from the Internet to be sent to multiple users at the same time.
