Netfind

    0.01 sec.
Netfind - A research prototype that provides a simple Internet "white pages" user directory. It runs on SunOS 4.0 or more recent systems that are connected to the Internet (however, you can run Netfind on one server at your site, and let the others use Netfind on that server). Given the name of a person on the Internet and a rough description of where the person works, Netfind attempts to locate telephone and electronic mailbox information about the person.

This follows the AOL's activities in the US, where its NetFind facility uses the same Excite technology, and its strategy to become a portal to non-subscribers in Japan.
The additional services include an option for increased security and confidentiality, custom-created individual resume Web sites that are then submitted to 1,500 of the top Internet search engines, including Yahoo, Excite, AOL Netfind, Lycos and more, and individual resume Internet User Group and News Group postings.
