Neumann's triangle [′nȯi·mänz ′trī‚aŋ·gəl] (fluid mechanics) A triangle whose sides have lengths proportional to the surface tensions of two immiscible liquids and their interfacial tension, and directions parallel to the free surfaces of the liquids and the interface between them at a line where these three surfaces meet, when one liquid is placed on the surface of the other.
