Nevezhin, Petr Mikhailovich
Born June 27 (July 9), 1841, in Smolensk; died May 25, 1919, in Petrograd, Russian writer. Outstanding among Nevezhin’s numerous plays are Second Youth (1887) and The Desecrated (1916). Nevezhin attempted to follow the dramatic traditions of A. N. Ostrovskii, but his plays are generally epigonic.
