Nicholas, John

(?1757–1819) U.S. representative; born in Williamsburg, Va. A graduate of William and Mary and a lawyer, he served in Congress (Rep., Va.; 1793–1801), leaving to pursue farming and preside as common pleas judge (1806–19) in rural New York.
