Shil’der, Nikolai Gustavovich
Born 1828; died Mar. 13 (25), 1898, in St. Petersburg. Russian genre painter. In the 1850’s, Shil’der studied under B. P. Villeval’de at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, where he became an academician in 1861. Influenced by P. A.
