Nord 

a department in the extreme north of France, bordering on Belgium and the North Sea. Area, 5,800 sq km; population, 2.5 million (1973). The capital is the city of Lille. One of the most industrialized departments in the country, Nord is the nucleus of the northern industrial region. Its industries include coal mining, metallurgy, machine construction, and textile production. There is also extensive agriculture.

Malkin Construction has completed the interior fit-out of Ventus Networks' (Ventus) new headquarters in Norden Park, a 630,000 s/f high-tech office complex at 10 Norden Place in Norwalk, CT, according to Tim Yahn, president of the Stamford-based construction firm.
