(computer science)
The form of a floating-point number whose mantissa lies between 0.1 and 1.0.

1.(reduction)normal form - In reduction systems, the state of a term which contains no reducible expressions. Variants include head normal form, weak head normal form.
2.(database)normal form - See database normalisation.
