Norris Dam State Resort Park Location: Off US 441 on Norris Lake, 20 miles northwest of Knoxville. Facilities: 75 campsites with water and electricity hookups (é), 29 cabins (é), bathhouses, laundromat, picnic areas, hiking trails, swimming pool, marina, boat rentals, boat launch, museum, recreation building, gift shop, game courts, playgrounds. Activities: Camping, boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, tennis, recreation and interpretive programs (seasonal). Special Features: Park is located at the site of the massive Norris Dam, which was begun in 1933 as the first Tennessee Valley Authority project. Lenoir Museum Cultural Complex features the Lenoir Pioneer Museum, an 18th century Rice Grist Mill and Crosby Threshing Barn.
