Norwottuck Rail Trail

Location: West end access at Elwell Recreation Area in Northampton, at US 91 and Route 9. East end access at Warren Wright Road in Belchertown.
Facilities: Trail (é), restrooms (é).
Activities: Bicycling, skating, jogging, hiking, cross-country skiing.
Special Features: Trail is part of Connecticut River Greenway State Park. It links Northampton, Hadley, and Amherst along the former Boston & Main Railroad right-of-way, with a level terrain that provides safe passage for pedestrians, wheelchairs, joggers, skaters, bicyclists, and cross-country skier of all ages and abilities. Motorized vehicles and horses are prohibited.
