C₃₀H₃₆O₁₁N₂A moderately broad-spectrum antibiotic produced by strains ofStreptomyces niveusandS. spheroides; it is a dibasic acid and is converted either to the monosodium salt or to the calcium acid salt for pharmaceutical use.
