a city in Czechoslovakia, in the North Moravia Region, Czech Socialist Republic. Population, 20,500 (1971). Nový Jičín produces such machine goods as electrical equipment and automobile parts, as well as textiles (primarily woolens), clothing, and hats.

His globe trotting began in 2006-07 when he joined Piratas Bogota in Colombia, then it was on to Caballeros de Culiacan for his first Mexican experience, Geofin Novy Jicin of the Czech Republic in 2007-08, Potros Itson back in Mexico, Boston College Santiago in Chile 2008-09 and finally Culiacan again.
A contract for 36 CV12 engines has been recently signed between Caterpillar and Nimda of Israel, the company responsible for integrating the powerpacks at VOP 025 Novy Jicin, which is a Czech government-owned facility.
Visteon's Autopal subsidiary has operated a smaller technical center in Novy Jicin since 1993, which was consolidated into the new facility.
