Nsawam 

a city in the Eastern Region in Ghana, on the Accra-Kumasi highway. Railroad station. Population, 57,400 (1970). Nsawam is the center of a cacao-growing region.

When I was six years old, I was sent to an Orthopedic Centre at Nsawam for artificial limbs.
There are good parts from Accra to Nsawam; then very bad parts between Nsawam and suhum, and then, nearer to Kumasi some very good parts once again.
Places like Kyebi, Koforidua, Suhum, Nsawam, Akropong-Akuapem are names that have thus burnt themselves into the memories of many of the Ghanaian generation that is currently in retirement.
