Numazu

a city in Japan; a coastal port on the island of Honshu, in Shizuoka Prefecture. Population, 189,000 (1970). The city has a petrochemical plant, an agricultural machinery plant manufacturing tea-harvesting combines, and wood-products and textile enterprises. Numazu is a climatic health resort and a seaside tourist center.
