O-ring

A resilient ring used as a gasket in sealing a joint.

O-ring
A flat or circular gasket made from synthetic rubber, used as an airtight seal or a seal against high pressures. The ring fits into a groove to form a seal between two parts. O-rings are two-way seals; they seal in either direction.
