An application development environment for Windows, Linux, Solaris and Mac from Raining Data Corporation, Irvine, CA (www.rainingdata.com). It includes its own database manager for local and laptop use, visual programming tools, and a 4GL. OMNIS Studio was originally developed by Blyth Software, Foster City, CA, which changed its name to Omnis Technology Corporation in 1997. In 2000, it merged with PickAx, Inc. to become Raining Data.
