The breakfast menu is so extensive that it is difficult to know what to plump for each morning from a choice of fresh fruits, yoghurts, Danish pastries, cold meats, cheeses, locally-baked bread, cereals, oatmeal porridge, kippers, haddock, boiled eggs and the perennially popular full English.
A typical day on the diet: Breakfast: Oatmeal porridge and raisins; Lunch: Turkey breast burger in wholegrain wrap with tomatoes; Dinner: Wholewheat pasta with a tomato and mushroom sauce, with salad.
The French firm first introduced their No VAT campaign last year and, while Gordon Brown might have choked on his oatmeal porridge, it went down a storm with car buyers.
