an urban-type settlement in Plesetsk Raion, Arkhangel’sk Oblast, RSFSR. It is situated along the upper reaches of the Vaimug River (Severnaia Dvina basin), at the junction of railroad lines to Arkhangel’sk, Vologda, and Belomorsk. The principal industry is a lime factory.
