The October Revolution of October 25, 1917 (November 7, 1917 according to the new calendar) ousted the post-imperial provisional government and installed the Soviets led by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin in power.
The November 4 Day of National Unity has been celebrated since 2005 when Russia's then president Putin created the holiday to replace the November 7 commemoration of the 1917 October Revolution.
The Glorious October Revolution in Sudan also ushered in the era of the downfall of a most tyrant totalitarian military junta regime that reined the country after the November 17th 1958 with an iron fist presided over by General Ibrahim Abboud.
