Another fascinating finding was an odeion - a small, roofed theater-like structure, the first of its kind to be exposed in Israel.
The Odeion of Herodes Atticus, the Acropolis, Roman Agora, provide the city with Greek dances, classical music and opera performances.
The Athenian odeion was a square hall with pillars supposedly made from the masts of Persian ships taken at the battle of Salamis in the Persian wars.
