Odiorne Point State Park Location: On NH Route 1A, 3 miles south of Portsmouth. Facilities: Picnic areas, group use area, large playground, trails, paved bike path, boat launch, restrooms, science center, interpretive displays. Activities: Boating, fishing, hiking, bicycling, cross-country skiing, educational programs. Special Features: Park offers sweeping views of the ocean and rocky shore and a network of trails through dense vegetation. The Seacoast Science Center, which is located in the park, has exhibits relating to the natural and human history of Odiorne and this seacoast area. The Center's programs include opportunities to learn about tide pool animals in an indoor touch tank or watch deep ocean fish swim the 1,000-gallon Gulf of Maine tank.
