Ogg, Frederic (Austin) (1878–1951) political scientist; born in Solsberry, Ind. A prolific writer, he authored many articles and books on world politics. Two textbooks written with P. O. Ray, Introduction to American Government (1922) and Essentials of American Government (1932), have been read by generations of students. He taught at the University of Wisconsin (1914–48).
