Ogletree, Charles J., Jr. (1952– ) professor, lawyer; born in Merced, Calif. A graduate of Stanford (1974) and Harvard Law School (1978), he worked with the District of Columbia Public Defender Service (1978–82; deputy director, 1984–85), then joined the faculty of Harvard Law School (1985), becoming director of its Criminal Justice Institute (1990).
