Vartashen
a city (a settlement until 1968), administrative center of Vartashen Raion, Azerbaijan SSR, in the foothills of the Greater Caucasus Mountains, 105 km south-east from the Evlakh railroad station and junction (on the Tbilisi-Baku line).
