Ohiopyle State Park Location: Off PA 381, in the southwestern corner of the state. Facilities: 226 class A campsites, camping cottages, group tent camp, showers, flush toilets, picnic areas, picnic pavilions, snack bar, backpacking trailhead, hiking trails (79 miles), bike trails (40 miles), bridle trails (9 miles), snowmobile trailhead and trails (13 miles), cross-country ski trails (34 miles), sledding hill, waterslides, bicycle rentals, boat rentals, boat launch, amphitheater, playfield, playgrounds, scenic overlooks. Activities: Camping, hunting, whitewater boating (rafting, canoeing, and kayaking), fishing, hiking, bicycling, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, tobogganing, nature programs. Special Features: More than 14 miles of the Youghiogheny River Gorge pass through the heart of the park. The "Yough" offers some of the best whitewater boating in the East as well as spectacular scenery. Park also has several waterfalls, and natural waterslides.
