Oil-extraction Press
a hydraulic press for pressing oil out of oil seeds, residues, and other raw material containing oil. The pressing is done in a steel cylinder, whose walls consist of separate steel plates with holes 0.5–0.8 mm wide. During pressing, oil flows through the holes, which are trapezoid to avoid plugging by particles of pulp. The steel plates are fastened together by massive rings. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
