Ojeda, Felix

    0.01 sec.
Ojeda, Felix

Born Mar. 15, 1903, in Naguabo; died Apr. 22, 1976, in San Juan. Figure in the Puerto Rican labor movement.

A member of the Socialist Party since youth, Ojeda was, at various times, secretary of the party’s district committees and party secretary for organizational affairs. As a sign of disagreement with the opportunistic line taken by the party leadership, he left the Socialist Party and joined the Puerto Rican Communist Party (PRCP). Ojeda was editor of the central organ of the PRCP, the newspaper Pueblo, as well as party secretary for press and propaganda. In 1969 he became general secretary of the PRCP.
