Okhrana Truda I Sotsial’noe Strakhovanie 

(Protection of Labor and Social Insurance), a monthly magazine, the organ of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions. Founded in Moscow in 1913, the magazine publishes articles on various aspects of the Soviet system of labor protection and state social insurance, including worker safety, production efficiency and aesthetics, and pensions for industrial and office workers. It also includes articles on the work of preventive medical institutions and on questions relating to sanatoriums and resorts. The magazine publicizes the achievements of trade union organizations in creating healthy and safe working conditions. It regularly publishes legal advice and reports changes in labor law. The magazine also familiarizes readers with the working conditions of workers abroad. Circulation, 560,000 (1973).
