Oktiabr’skii Glacier
(also Karadzhilga Glacier), a glacier in the northern Pamir Mountains, Tadzhik SSR. Located on the southern slope of the Zaalai Range, in the Lake Karakul’ basin, in the upper reaches of the Koksai River, a left component of the Karadzhilga. A complex valley glacier, it has an area of 116 sq km, a length of 17.6 km, and a width of 700–1,500 m. One of the glacier’s main right branches, with its source in the Zulu-mart Range, is called the Oktiabr’skii Zapadnyi Glacier. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
