Olevsk 

an urban-type settlement; center of Olevsk Raion, Zhitomir Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, on the Ubort’ River (a tributary of the Pripiat’). Railroad station on the Sarny-Korosten’ line. Population, 10,200 (1974). Olevsk has plants producing tractor parts and porcelain for electrical engineering, a vegetable-drying plant, a dairy, and a flax-processing plant, as well as wood-products enterprises. There is a museum of local lore.
