OnStar

A subscription-based vehicle communications system from General Motors subsidiary OnStar Corporation. Founded in 1995, the service is built into GM vehicles as well as other vehicles via aftermarket rear-view mirrors. Using cellular transmission and GPS, OnStar provides navigation, emergency services, stolen vehicle assistance and remote diagnostics in the U.S., Canada and China.
