Onaway State Park Location: In Presque Isle County, 6 miles north of Onaway on M-211. Facilities: 96 modern campsites, picnic area, pavilion, swimming beach, boat launch, playground, nature trail. Activities: Camping, fishing, swimming, hiking, cross-country skiing. Special Features: Park is located on the southeast shore of Black Lake, in an area once frequented by Chippewa Indians, and features sand cobblestone beaches, large unique rock out-croppings, and a diverse variety of trees. The park is known for its variety of gamefish, including the elusive lake sturgeon. Ocqueoc Falls, the largest waterfall in Michigan's Lower Peninsula, is located just 10 miles east of the park.
