A subscription service from Microsoft that provides a one-stop source for protection against malware (viruses, spam, spyware), system maintenance (disk cleanup, defragmentation, etc.) and backup and recovery. The beta program for Windows Live OneCare was released in 2006 to U.S. subscribers only.

Like the Windows OneCare Beta I reviewed last month, this test upgrade for the venerable browser is a big leap forward.
Called Windows OneCare Live, the subscription service will compete with security products made by traditional Microsoft partners, including Symantec Corp.
