Important new technologies like virtual reference, Open URL link resolving, federated searching, content management systems, and user direct document delivery services are good candidates for shared and cooperative delivery. Amazon Anywhere is available on Internet-ready phones, the Palm VII, and other PDA devices via our open URL www. In addition to the continued evolution of the standards for data and metadata noted above, an example of a new approach is the Open URL effort (Stern, 2001). |
