Ophiucus [¦äf·i¦yü·kəs]
(astronomy)
A large constellation centered near right ascension 17 hours, declination 10° south; it includes a portion of the ecliptic between the constellations Scorpius and Sagittarius, although it is not considered a constellation of the zodiac. Also known as Serpent Bearer.
