Opilioacarina
an order of primitive acarians. The body of opilioacarians is oval (length, 1–2 mm) and poorly sclerotized. The legs are long and thin. Ten species are known. Opilioacarians inhabit plant remains. They are only rarely seen. Two species have been found in the USSR (in Middle Asia): Paracarus hexophthalmus and Opilioacarus italicus. Some zoologists consider Opilioacarina to be a suborder of the order Acarina. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
