Waterborne coatings formulations have traditionally contained sufficient co-solvent for incorporation of organic components for various effects.
The synthesis of two types of emulsions used as organic components in this study was performed according to a previously described procedure.
These results further reveal a divergent effect of the particulate versus organic components of diesel exhaust, in that DEPEs induce CYP1A1, whereas the particulate reduces CYP2B1 and phase II metabolic enzymes.
