Their concert, at St Mary's Church, Warwick, on Tuesday, will be devoted to the music of Orlande de Lassus, hailed as "the prince of 16th-century musicians".
Around them Exaudi's director, James Weeks, had arranged two sequences of Orlande de Lassus's passiontide motets, some to the same texts that Rihm's cycle uses.
Nearly all the prefaces introduce music by Charles IX's favorite composer, the celebrated Orlande de Lassus (1532-94).
