Orochony
(also Orochi; from Evenki own, “reindeer”), the prerevolutionary name for a number of Reindeer Evenki groups living to the east of Lake Baikal (Evenki of present-day Baunt Raion of the Buriat ASSR and of the northern regions of Chita and Amur oblasts). The Oroki of Sakhalin Island are sometimes mistakenly referred to as Orochony. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
