Osbornedale State Park Location: 1 mile northwest of Derby off Route 34. Facilities: Picnic shelters, picnic tables (é), bathrooms (é), environmental center (é), historic home. Activities: Pond fishing, ice skating, field sports, hiking, museum tours, educational programs. Special Features: Park is located in the Naugatuck Valley hills just east of the Housatonic River, on land once owned by Mrs. Frances Osborne Kellogg. The recently renovated house and grounds that comprised her estate, the Osborne Homestead Museum, are located adjacent to the park, and guided tours are available to the public. The Kellog Environmental Center at Osbornedale State Park offers a number of programs and activities for the general public as well.
