Oshmiany Upland
an upland in the Byelorussian SSR and the Lithuanian SSR, between the Vilija and Neman rivers. A spur of the Byelorussian Shelf, the upland has elevations to 320 m. It consists of morainic and sand and gravel hills and ridges. Most of the upland is under cultivation; in places, small tracts of mixed forest and forests of spruce and pine have been preserved.
