Sometimes, it is desirable to have a tighter tolerance such as +/- 5%, since impedance tolerance often involves trade-off between impedance of PCB traces, package, driver output impedance and termination resistors.
The output of the micro-generator can easily cover the power needs of intermittent radio sensor systems such as Wireless HART, SP-100 and Wi-Fi in industrial applications, but its output impedance is too high to supply the 10s to 100s of milliwatts required by sensor nodes during data collection and transmission.
The output impedance of the MP-B-USB line level output is not specified, but I expect 10 foot cable runs should not be a problem.
