Ovanes Tlkurantsi 

Years of birth and death unknown. Armenian 14th- or 15th-century poet. Born in the village of Tlkuran, near Cilicia (now part of Turkey).

Ovanes Tlkurantsi wrote didactic verses and songs about love and nature that are marked by vivid imagery and stormy emotions. He also created epic works on themes of oral folklore. His work was valued highly by his contemporaries. A scholarly edition of his works was published in Yerevan in 1960.
