An earlier popular set of utilities for DOS and Windows from Symantec. They included a DOS or Windows shell as well as antivirus, file management, caching, backup, compression and data recovery utilities. PC Tools was originally developed by Central Point Software.

While there are a number of excellent search tools for finding what you want in this hyper-Alexandrian wealth, search sites and PC tools alike, only in the last year or so have vendors addressed the need that Internet researchers have to organize the information they find for later reference.
