PS one

(PlayStation one) Sony's first compact PlayStation console, introduced in 2000. One third the size of the original PlayStation, but with the same functionality, it let gamers more easily carry the unit from place to place. See PlayStation.

The PS one Combo
Introduced two years after the first PS one, the PS one Combo added an LCD screen, making the unit entirely portable, no longer requiring the console to be hooked up to a TV. (Image courtesy of Sony Computer Entertainment.)
