Pachmann, Vladimir de (vlədyē`mĭr də päkh`män), 1848–1933, Russian pianist, studied with his father, a violinist, and at the Vienna Conservatory. He devoted himself almost exclusively to playing Chopin's smaller piano pieces, and he was known as a colorful, eccentric performer.
