Paint Gun

    0.01 sec.
Paint Gun

a device for the mechanical spraying of water-soluble nonviscous paint compounds in construction finishing work. Both manual paint guns and guns with electric drive are used. The most widely used manual paint guns have plunger, piston, and less often diaphragm pumps, and the most common electric guns are equipped with diaphragm pumps.

In a paint gun, the paint compound passes through a filter and an intake hose into a pump and then through a pressure hose into a long, hollow tube and is sprayed by an atomizer. The excess solution is returned to the reservoir through a bypass valve and an overflow hose. The output of spray guns is 200-500 ml’hr; the operating pressure is 0.4-1.0 meganewton per sq m (MN/m2), or 4-10 kilograms-force per sq cm (kgf/cm2); and the weights are 5-10 kg for manual guns and 20-30 kg for electric guns.
